The Key family

The Key family has its recent roots in the Watford area, more specifically Leavesden  in Hertfordshire. The head of the family was Kenneth, known to all as Ken – or to us as Dad. Mum was Jenny, but don’t tell anyone that as she hated it and everyone her as Freda. There are five brothers, now spread around the country, Geoff, Roger, Nigel Greg and Howard, and several children and grandchildren. The genealogist in the family is Geoff who has researched the family and its deeper roots. Apparently the paternal side of the family were based in Cornwall as Tin miners and the maternal side based in North London. The generous among us call them Newsagents, the more realistic might say they just sold newspapers – on street corners! Geoff is the font of knowledge on our family and if you watch this space we may tell you more.

This website was set up for the five brothers and their families to share their history both past and present with each other and the big wide world of the web and to keep in touch with each other over the miles that now separate them.
